Re: Mullen out at Florida

And at Ole Miss, he has built a good base of talent on the team. He would be starting over if he went to Miami. That requires tremendous amount of effort. We finally have an AD that invests in sports and he knows he has to pay to get more money. Keith wants to make Ole Miss a national brand. Kiffin can fly in and out of Oxford easily on a university jet and be at his beach house in a few short hours. I just don't see him giving it up. Maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Mullen out at Florida

Now if Mullens could just get convicted in the Rebel Rags saga, that would be icing on the cake.  By the way, what has happened to that case.  Its seems to have gone cold.

If Lane does leave I would be more than happy to have Lebby.

I'm not trying to be a prick, but I'm not impressed with Lebby's play calling.  We still have that same old problem of getting inside the 10 and struggling.  We insist on running up the gut and "usually" get stuffed.  We get a lead and act like we are afraid to keep pressing.  We went way vanilla yesterday and if the cards had fallen the wrong way in the last 8 minutes of that game, we could have gotten beat.  We act like we are afraid to keep out foot on the gas.  His play selection sure hasn't showcased Corral.

Absolutely agree!  Although we are not a finished product, especially on defense, no need to take a chance on an up-and-comer without HC experience when proven coaches, i. e., Napier, and Chadwell, are proven winners, and will be moving to P5 very soon.

Re: Mullen out at Florida

Ole Miss should have learned from being a training camp for head coaches.  If someone is hired, it should be a proven head coach with a good track record.  Ole Miss has the funds to make the hire, but hopefully, Kiffin will stay for a while.  Time will tell.

All sign indicate that Napier will be the next HC at Florida.

Re: Mullen out at Florida

The only way I can explain the regression in offense is due to injuries and the temporary loss of chemistry.  It would be my dream that Lebby was playing vanilla to prepare a special doggie treat for Turkey Day to take MSU to the dog pound.  But we shall see.

Re: Mullen out at Florida

There is no doubt the "struggles" of the Offense has been because of injury.  Qb hobbled, Sr OL Brown lost in middle of Tenn game for the season (Warren and Umana), name the WR and I will name you a injured on except maybe Plumlee and Pearson..Even TE has had injuries Rogers missed 3-4 games.

As thin on front like talent and experienced talent as this roster is, when you have these things happen, no way can you continue to roll on offense.

So you can only out scheme people so much with this laundry list of injuries..  I think Lebby and Lane have done a great job getting points on the board with this beat up cast...
