I hate that for him and I hope he makes a full recovery. I know we all want to win, but the health and well-being of players is more important.

It was an incredibly stupid decision by Matt Luke to put Shea back in after he was injured. The decision was stupid for two reasons. One, it was unnecessary to risk further injury to Shea. Two, Jordan Ta'amu was playing well and was sparking the team. The incident with Shea alone shows why Matt is not head coaching material.

Fortunately we missed the game, but putting an injured player into a game is a very poor decision. Luke is not a good head coach and is in over his head. He will get paid well for all the blundering decisions he makes. Although Luke has proven that he is neither a position or head coach, he will probably be one of the top candidates to be the Ole Miss head coach.

Lets just hope that Patterson does not fade away like many superstar HS QBs have done in the past. Patterson was highly rated and recruited. Freeze wasted his first year by pulling this red shirt. Getting coached by a lower division coach like Lingo, has not helped with Patterson's development. Apparently, Patterson will need to get outside help in order to have effective development. It would not surprise many fans to see him transfer when the NCAA hammer falls.

The most logical decision for Patterson is to transfer somewhere and redshirt next year. I hope that isn't the case but I wouldnt blame the kid.

You have to wonder if Luke putting an injured Patterson back in the game made the injury worse, or possibly caused the PCL injury to become more of tear that put Patterson out for the year.

It certainly did not help matters. With the way that Ta'amu was playing, he should kept Patterson out to prevent risking further injury.
