Ole Miss 31 - Tennessee 26 FINAL
Rebels win in a nail-biter. It was just too close and there were several injuries. The UT fans showed their class by litter the field with debris and hitting Kiffin with a golf ball. This resulted in about a 17-minute delay. UT had their chance to take the game, but the Ole Miss defense stepped up and stopped the Vols. Now on to LSU!!!

Since they are UT, they are privileged and paid the right people to not get penalized. The refs and police should have taken quick control. Throw a flag, move the ball 15 yards. If it happens again to the same.
The police should have been in the stands cuffing people and making arrests. This could have deterred people from throwing stuff.
The rain of debris was so unsafe that the UT cheerleaders, dance squad, and band left the field during the Malay. Instead of being penalized, UT gets away with some very unsporting-like conduct and then almost wins the game.

I really hate that we got screwed with our schedule having our bye week so early in the season. We've got a lot of guys hurt.
There has to be a rule that TN should have gotten a penalty for. I hope Sanky makes an example out of them.

I wish there was a way they could schedule so all teams could have bye weeks no earlier than October — but every year someone draws an early bye and Ole Miss was one of the ones this year.
UT fans were disgraceful last night — I know similar things have happened in Oxford but not to the point they had to clear cheerleaders off the field and had cops in the stands - or delayed a game for about half an hour.

CLICK HERE for a grid schedule showing the games and open dates. Note that Ole Miss and Miss. State got bad scheduling with their Open Dates. Ole Miss potentially has 11/5/22 as their open date for the 2022 season. It would be favorable to have an open date in mid-October.

At min they should have been flagged for delay of the game. Then when the heavy stuff started coming down, unsportsmanlike conduct.
If I am Kiffin, when this shit starts, I get someone to get Keith Carter on the phone and tell him we are gone. That Tenn cannot keep us safe and they forfeit..
When they got their cheerleaders off the field, that told everyone they couldnt control the crowd. Then they got their band out of there.
but they expected OM and their players, coaches, staff to stay in that danger.
No way if I am the HC and AD.
If the SEC doesnt hammer Tenn, OM should never agree to play in Knoxville again.
I mean a HUGE fine and no nite games the rest of the season. I am talking 10 million bucks. Then threaten if it ever happens again, they lose scholarships.
Just no excuse for that and they had no security, etc to deal with anything.
Tenn should use ever camera angle and face recognition technology they can get to identify everyone that thru something and ban them from Tenn sporting events. Doesnt matter how long it takes.
Their fans still just are laughing about it. The Tenn Chancellor went on twitter and ripped her crowd and all they did was rip her and make excuses. Go to make them understand that it cant happen again.
