would not be surprised to see someone fired soon.

That was worse than the defense under Steve Sloan. I didn’t think that was even possible.

Not a real big fan of this 3-2-6 scheme…

Not against Ark and a 260 lb qb that can run

I am surprised by the lack of blitzes not run by our defense. We could do more disruptions if we could blitz and not allow for a 30 seconds for QBs to pass with confidence.

Despite some arm tackles today our D has actually seemed to play with a lot more energy and attitude this year. But it’s hard to stop anyone from running with 3 DL. I think a change in scheme might make a difference. I wish we could at least change to a 5 man front at times.

This seems to be the normal process over the last 4 to 6 years. Defense looks like it improves the first two or three games of the season until the other teams get tape on us and then they start to destroy our defense when they know our weaknesses. Then we don’t seem to know how to cover up her weakness. Last year we did get better at the end of the year but I’m just tired I’m not having a defense worth a crap

I watched just a few mins of the A&M/Bama game last night. Looked like A&M was running a similar D to us with the 3 DL but they got a couple of sacks on blitzes. I’m not sure I saw us blitz more than once yesterday and that was when Campbell got the sack. Seemed like every time their QB dropped back, he could take a nap he had so much time

Yes, we drop 6 into pass coverage and still give up huge gains to receivers that when they make their cut, we don't have a defender in the same area code. WE get eaten alive by passes to receivers dragging across the middle, wide`ass open. Our angle of pursuit is horrible. We find ourselves chasing after a guy , because our angle was so far off the mark.
Maybe they need a geometry class. Studying physics wouldn't hurt either

Something has got to give. I realize that there is a talent issue on that side of the ball, but guys are constantly out of position. What amazes me is seeing the opposing RB/WR drag 3 or 4 of our guys an additional 5 yards down the field. How many times have you noticed our guys actually driving the ball carrier FORWARD for progress in a gang tackle?
