The hits keep coming for the Ole Miss Rebels on the offensive side of the football. The Ole Miss Spirit has confirmed, through sources, that running back Jerrion Ealy has been in concussion protocol this week and is thought to be questionable for Saturday's game versus Arkansas. Ealy was concussed during the Rebels' game at Alabama on Saturday. He finished that game with nine carries for 16 yards and two catches for one yard, certainly uncharacteristic numbers for the big time playmaker.
If Ealy is unable to play Saturday, that means the Rebels will be without three starters on the offensive side of the football. Starting left guard Caleb Warren underwent surgery Thursday morning to repair torn ligaments in his ankle. Starting wide receiver Jonathan Mingo is expected to miss his second consecutive game with a foot injury.
Ealy has carried 40 times for 204 yards and a touchdown, averaging 5.1 yards per attempt this season. He also owns eight catches for 79 yards.
Ole Miss is a slight favorite over Arkansas, according to Vegas odds makers. The 17th-ranked Rebels (3-1, 0-1 SEC) and No. 13 Razorbacks (4-1, 1-1 SEC) are set for an 11 a.m. kickoff at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
