Re: Softball team?

What a weird situation. One thing that I'm certainly learning is that there are some meddling parents of players on the softball team. And, if it turns out that the allegation by Angus aren't true, then she should be held responsible for flinging mud like she has done.

Re: Softball team?

If someone doesnt get this investigation over soon, OM is not going to have a Softball program.

Had one go in the transfer portal, Blaise Biringer and many more i read are about to flee.

Now 2022 Commit Paige Vukadinovich had flipped to Ga Tech

Re: Softball team?

Well, what a turn of events....  The damage is done though.   Got to be a way to sue the woman that runs this running poles webiste/podcast.

A meeting took place at 4 p.m. CT today inside the Gillom Center in which players on the Ole Miss softball team were informed all investigations into the program, including one dealing with Title IX issues, have closed and the subjects of those investigations have been cleared. In short, no member of the Ole Miss coaching staff will lose their jobs or face any penalties over allegations that sparked the investigations. The door has been closed on what has been a well-publicized haunt of allegations against head coach Jamie Trachsel and assistant coach Katie Rietkovich Browder.Ole Miss vice-chancellor for intercollegiate athletics Keith Carter and Trachsel each released statements simultaneously as the team was informed on Wednesday.Carter's statement reads: "Following a comprehensive investigation by the university’s Title IX office, the anonymous allegations of inappropriate behavior by the softball staff are unsubstantiated. In addition, other anonymous allegations involving the culture of the softball program have been thoroughly reviewed by Athletics Compliance staff and were determined not to be in violation of any policies. The well-being and experience of our student-athletes will always be our top priority, and through this extensive review, we discussed these anonymous claims with our players and all were unsubstantiated. "Coach Trachsel and her staff are committed to building a healthy program and are working to address any issues to ensure a positive team environment. The staff has our full support, and we look forward to continuing our trajectory as one of the rising softball teams in the sport. This has been an emotional ordeal for our coaches and student-athletes, and we will assist them in moving forward from this matter. Trachsel's statement reads: "We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our university leadership for thoroughly reviewing this matter and reaching a conclusion. The outpouring of support from family, friends, staff, colleagues and current and former student-athletes has not only been overwhelming but given us courage and strength through this situation. It has been an emotional time for our entire program, but I have no doubt our coaches and players will grow stronger together as we move through this shared experience. We look forward to putting this behind us as a team, as we continue to build our championship culture and compete for more titles here at Ole Miss."Trachsel was hired in the spring of 2020 and is entering her second season at the helm of the program.

Re: Softball team?

I really hope Angus is held responsible for the hit piece she put out. Journalism has really gone to shit in this country, and it seems like so many are just eager to try to make a big name for themselves and put out anything to try to get picked up by national media. When it turns out their story was wrong, and it has caused damage to that other party, then something has to be done.

The Running Poles article reeked of more than one agenda. I had my doubts about some of this from the beginning, but I knew nothing for sure. I wanted a thorough investigation to sort out fact from fiction and get to the bottom of this. It appears that was done.
