good article. HOF better get him in there soon. Putting Calvin Johnson in there should have made it no question.
Johnson barely played in a playoff game. at least Willis played in a Super Bowl
Willis played in 8 post season games, Johnson 0-2
they give offensive players the benefit of the doubt which is crap.
Willis 5 time first team all pro
Johnson 3 time first team all pro
Willis 7 pro bowls
Johnson 6 pro bowls
Willis NFl Rookie of the Year
Johnson was not the rookie of the year offensively
Willis 2 times NFL tackle leader
Johnson 1 time NFl receptions leader
Both 2010's All Decade Team
Willis 8 years
Johnson 9
I can go on and one. And this is in no means a shot or disrespect at Johnson, just putting it out there that Willis should have been a 1st ballot guy last year and then not making the final 15 this year when Calvin Johnson made it at a 1st ballot guy is shameful.
Terrell Davis went in, he played 4 years 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998.. In 1999 played 4 games, 2000 played 5 games and 2001 played in 8. So lets add those 3 up and give him 5 years. yes, he won 2 super bowls, but Davis only had 3 years that were great, 1996-1538 yds rushing, 1997-1750 yds rushing, 1998-2008 yds rushing. his only other full season was 1995 and he rushed for 1117 yds. Davis had 1 season where he averaged over 5 yards a carry, 5.1 in 1998. People will say Gale Sayers, he had the combines 5 years as Davis, yep, averaged over 5 yards a carry 4 times. I Personally dont think Davis is a HOFer, he was great for 3 years, people say Denver wouldnt have won those 2 titles without him, maybe maybe not. But you can also argue without Elway, Davis doesnt win those either. My point is, they give offensive players the benefit of the doubt, 100%
If OM fans and 49er fans dont start flooding the writers and voters for the HOF for next year, you will start to see him get pushed farther an farther down the road and he will end up 20 years from now trying to get on some BS SR ballot.
Get your OM buddies on it, send these comparisons and show exactly the BS it has been already in just 2 years.
Post it on other OM boards

The Patrick Willis's of the world are rare to come by. The guy was an absolute beast at Ole Miss and in the NFL. The amazing speed, strength, and football intelligence the guy had was remarkable. Add to the fact that the guy is such a down to earth and great person - he'll always be my favorite player.
The only thing going against him, as far as the HOF, is his short career. But, the guy absolutely deserves to be in there. I still believe he was the best LB to ever play at Ole Miss, and during his time in the NFL, I wouldn't have traded him for another other defensive player. He was a game changer.

Archie occupies my #1 spot, but P-Willie is probably #2. At any rate, he is as deserving of the HOF as any player I can think of.

The guy was the best LB in the NFL for years - just totally dominated. There is zero reason for him to not be in Canton.

Archie???!! Archie Who?
YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHO!!!
Archie is my all time favorite, too. I can remember everyone wearing their Archie buttons and the phrase above was on a button. We really wanted one, but our parents said NO!!! You can wear your Archie button, not one with cuss words on it.
