My opinion is that the people making the decisions wanted everything to unfold as it has.  They wanted the taliban to get our weapons and info.  They wanted America to be embarrassed and the taliban to have a great victory.  Everyone, including those advising the decision makers, knew it would unfold like it has so it only makes sense that we didn't evacuate civilians, remove and/or destroy weapons and info, and then withdraw military. 

Most people couldn't comprehend the fact that our "leaders" would want something like this to happen on purpose.
But nobody in their right mind would question the validity of that claim if someone like Ilhan Omar were making the decisions.  And Joe Biden ain't making the decisions.
