Tim Elko returning?

Saw his post on Twitter - sounded like he's returning next season. Huge if that's what he's saying.

Yep, he's returning. As is Kevin Graham.

Re: Tim Elko returning?

That's great news!  I just wish when we supposedly have one of the top prospects in the country committed, they would actually show up.

That is good news, but the Rebels cannot survive without top SEC-level pitching.  Who will be pitching next year?

If I had to guess on the weekend rotation (based on who will have returning), it would be a mix of Dougherty, McDaniel, Diamond, Mallitz, and Burton? McDaniel and Diamond all saw action in the weekend rotation this year, so I would assume they'd be competing for a spot again. Just need a couple of the younger guys to really grow in summer ball and step up.

Re: Tim Elko returning?

The fact is and most likely will be, even with top-notch pitching, Bianco will flounder during SEC play and drop to mediocracy.  His team might make it to a regional and even a super regional, but they will not get to Omaha.  There is just too much history to support this theory, in addition to the fact the Bianco peaked about 10 years ago.

What happened 10 years ago?   He got his first huge contract correct?   Ever since he was paid the big bucks, he has under performed
