I hope they take him!

Hearing reports that Bianco is, indeed, heading to Baton Rouge for an interview, as is Godwin. Sounds like the job is Bianco's if he likes what he hears from LSU. If not, then it sounds like Godwin will then become LSU's top target.

If Bianco goes, will Keith Carter have an ace ready? How many players will stay, go, recruits come?

Those are all great questions. I would personally love McDonnell from Louisville but Godwin is likely the more realistic option. Either one of those would likely be exciting hires for recruits. But baseball recruiting is so much different than football and basketball so it’s hard to tell. The good thing is that Bianco’s prized recruit has shot up the draft boards and is being projected to go 3rd overall. That’s a recruit we wouldn’t actually get even if Bianco stays. Not sure about the transfer pitcher and any other recruits. But we would still have a very good nucleus if no current players left so we could have a relatively down year in recruiting and still be ok going forward as long as we didn’t strike out the following year.
