The once #1 team in NCAA baseball has fallen rapidly to #18. After an exceptional start to what appeared to be a potential Omaha season, the Rebels entered the competitive part of SEC play and proved they were not worthy of a high ranking. After losing several major series, the Rebels dropped in the polls and have now settled at #18. Things will not be any easier when #2 Vanderbilt travels to Oxford. It would not be out of the realm of possibility for the Rebels to get swept by the Commodores this weekend.

I wonder if Hoglund will be able to pitch this weekend. He was pulled very quickly in the 1st. Rumor I'm hearing is it's looking like Tommy John surgery may be in his future....

He had tests yesterday and they’ll know more today or tomorrow from what I understand

The most pressing problem we have on our baseball team is that we do not have a legitimate PITCHING coach. The mechanics of our pitchers are all over the place, therefore we can't control location of the pitches. Bianco is NOT and never will be a pitching coach and he has no idea of what pitch to call in any situation. "Proof" is the multiple HRs by one lone aggie this past week end and multiple "uh-ohs" this year and years past. We need a legitimate pitching coach!!! (This coach will also help in taking care of 'arms', have a definite rotation, maximum pitch count, groom young arms for pitching assignments, young pitchers will make progress from year to year and from the beginning of the season to the end of the end, etc.
By the way: I detest losing to the CommodeDoors in any way, shape or form!!!

You mean Bianco hiring a former catcher as a pitching coach isn't working?
If I were the AD, I'd tell him he has to shake up the staff if he wants his contract renewed, and results are expected going forward.

Bianco does not need to have his contract extended. He needs to have his butt on a keg of dynamite. That seems like the best way to get championship results out of him. Hopefully, Carter has a short list of potential candidates, but you can be assured Carter will do what he is told to do.
Consider this fact. Carter was going to keep Luke as HC of football and backed him just before he was fired. If it were not for Elijah Moore's dog pee antic, Kiffin would not be HC and Luke would still be running the program in the ground in a "waiting until next year" mode.
