I'm about sick of this mess. We commit 3 errors in the first, leading to 2 unearned runs. Diamond pitches a very good game, and we turn the ball over to Broadway in a 4-2 game, and we end up losing 5-4.

I hated to see our closer go in with the bases loaded in the 7th inning. I guess that's a signal that Bianco doesn't have much confidence in our middle relief pitching (and he seems to be right considering our middle relief performances so far).

Broadway entered the game with a runner on 2nd and no outs, and Rebels leading 4-2.
Two glaring stats:
1. Bullpen has a 11.04 ERA in the last 7 SEC games.
2. We left 14 runners on base last night.

Its just another typical year when the Rebels "should have" but "didn't" as the once top ranked team in the nation (#1) slowly drops to the middle of the pack (#7) in the SEC.

the bunt game cost us again. we had several errors last evening that led to runs scored by LSU. They bunted successfully several rimes. The Rebels cannot bunt and we sure as hell can't defend on a bunt.
Another glaring problem is Kale Baker. He is terrible at 1st base. You need someone with a decent wingspan and that has a little more agility. he has dropped the ball several times when we had a runner dead in the water. Dropping the ball is no figure of speech here. He has literally dropped the ball when trying to get it out of his mitt to throw back to second. his hitting has almost completely gone in the dump. Strikes out about 50% of the time. A fire plug doesn't make a good first baseman.
