McDaniel was still looking good. Gave up 3 hits, 2 runs, had 1 out and nobody on. He wasn't really struggling, although his pitch count was over 90. But, with an entirely rested bullpen, he chose to Mallitz in that situation. What the hell was Bianco even thinking? That was the dumbest move I have seen. Mallitz needs to only pitch in midweek games right now. That freshman hasn't been impressive and needs reps - but not in that situation.
