This baseball team doesn't have any offensive power to it (outside of Elko). I've been watching these games, and it just seems like this team is full of a bunch of really small guys. We struggle so much at the plate - that's just not gonna get it done. We're behind by 1 right now against ULM going into the 9th after missing so many opportunities - we just can't hit the ball worth a flip.
We're not a top 10 team at all.

Most likely SEC play will be tough. There are too many SEC teams in the top 25 now. We will see how Ole Miss does during the SEC run. Rebel fans should not have too high expectations because they could easily be let down.

outside of Arkansas and Vanderbilt, all the "Heavyweights" in the SEC have struggled with or lost to some mediocre teams... how about giving the Rebels a little slack and lets see how we fare.

Of course, walk off HR to win after my post yesterday. LOL

I think your core post of no offense stands.
It's sad that last year didn't get a chance to play out due to the pandemic. Hopefully we have a lot of sleeping talent ready to burst open during SEC play.

Who knows , maybe that post was a jinx to the incoming loss and you won the game for us. Lol , I remember back in 83 me and my Dad were watching the rebels , it was in the 4th quarter and I made the remark to him , hey i can't believe we haven't fumbled the whole game. He said no ! Don't say that! 2 plays later FUMBLE, he starts screaming, You Jinxed us !! At the top of his voice. So from then on , i firmly believe in the jinx.

What power hitters did we lose from last year's team?

The two most notable loses at the plate were Anthony Servideo (5 HR's) and Tyler Keenan (7 HR's). Both hit with power and a high average.
We got our butts kicked yesterday, 13-1. We are simply not a top 10 team (and I don't think we're a top 25 team right now either).

No, we aren't. We have played so pitifully the last two games. Last night was an embarrassment, like Bianco said. we were awful in all the areas that were supposed to be our strength.
