Fight at bar

read on 247 a video is supposed to come out with some OM players in a bar fight last night. Supposed to be bad and reading Corral was involved.

Of course i havent seen it, but as long as a female was not injured or hit, I really dont care.   As long as a player didnt sucker someone like hitting them from behind with a beer bottle or pool stick, I dont care.  Unless several players help 1 person down and beat them half to death, I dont care.

If it's just a normal bar brawl with college kids, who cares. I know for one Corral is over 21.

Guess we will see soon.

Re: Fight at bar

A bar fight isn’t great, but not terrible either. Things happen when you’re young

11:15 a.m. Update: We have learned a little more about last night's altercation that leads us to believe it may not have been as serious as we were first told this morning. First, there was no police involvement and no charges were filed. Second, it was broken up rather quickly. We are also being told it was not instigated by any Ole Miss football player. As always, more as we learn.

No biggie...we had a bunch of those when I was at OM in the 60's. Just kids blowing off steam and feeling their oats in the off-season.

While I agree in my old school mind a bar fight is no biggie.

Social Media and the wussification of America along with camera phones on everyone has changed the landscape.
the wrong word screamed, the wrong person hit, Nation Wide story and then the school will over react to the pressure from the liberal media, then you have a problem.

Glad it seems to be not as bad as first reported

Re: Fight at bar

With most everyone being so politically correct and wanting to make a big deal out of anything, a minor event like this bar fight could become blown out of proportion.  With social media and cell phone everywhere, people must consider themselves always on camera.  Most likely some students tried to start some mess with a player and then the pother players jumped in to take up for their teammate.  Whatever the case, some media writer may try to make a mountain out of a mole hill.  One thing that was interesting after the Moo U brawl were the comments of Mike Leach.  He basically said it was not big deal and a football game is not a pillow fight.  As you can see nothing the only comments about that fight were just after the game and most of the hoopla from the media has settled.

Hey, it's football. Hey, it's physical. It's going to happen.

Re: Fight at bar

I agree completely - especially about the wussification.
