To be fair, the students did get moved to the part of the stadium with no shade, and it was pretty hot today --- I don't think I would have lasted the whole game in that SEZ on a day like today myself.

I still say they should have kept the student section where it was...just my humble opinion

It would not matter where the students sat.  These self serving, pouty, millinial trophy kids would leave early regardless of the score or who Ole Miss played.

Well...I'm betting they stay in their seats at Bummer, LSU, Auburn, TN and even Neck Teck.... I can't help but wonder if our's leaving reflect on the lack of drive to win championships and a willingness to be satisfied to merely 'compete' exhibited by the bureaucrats in charge of the program.

Re: Early Observations

Alabama and LSU students are doing the same thing. These millennials simply don't care about football. And before the students were in the South EZ they were in the North West corner... In the sun. We didn't leave early.... Stayed the whole game even in the heat.

Re: Early Observations

Maybe I am missing something but the student section at every stadium empties early.  It has always been that way at Ole Miss.  Granted more years than not the teams they were supporting were hard to watch.
I will always say the reason it is such a sore spot for Ole Miss fans is the rest of our fanbase is so damn busy trying to get the guy in front of them to sit down or trying to figure out what kind of pants the next dude over is wearing and how much they cost, etc.  All things except being loud and cheering on our team.  If our fanbase spent as much time cheering as they do sitting on their hands bitching about the students that would be a great start and a tremendous improvement.  We rely solely on our students to provide the home field advantage.  I mean we can't even get our own fans to wear a specific color to a game to provide a unified look.

Re: Early Observations

Not sure what years you guys attended.  I was there 94-99 and we were on the west side if I recall.  KLM maybe?  Anyways it was always empty at the half and most times well before.  That said the majority of the stadium was empty by then as well.  I do remember there always being lots of visitor fans in our student section.  It was easy for them to find seats since it was all general seating and was never full.  Now there were half as many students on campus then vs now.
