Yeah....powerhouse Vandy who is 3/4 and last in the East....and who scored 35 points. Listening to the radio post game you'd think we just won the west.....

HEY, don't hold me responsible. Hiring Luke as permanent HC would be like self imposing penalties against Ole Miss for the NCAA mess!!!

My wife said, "The guys played well, but I hope Luke doesn't keep the job."

The players played hard, we were still out of step and out of position on many plays, but make no mistake, this was a dominant win after a shaky 1st quarter. The refs were the worst I've seen in recent memory, missing easy calls, costing Ole Miss as much as a 10 to 17 point swing due to blown calls. This could have been much more lop-sided.
The team was obviously improved, the defense played like their hair was on fire, but still got caught out of position on a few big plays and that is coaching. We actually had a run game at times, but the O-line is still not giving Shea time on some pass plays. Thank God we have Shea, that kid is a baller, anyone who says Shea is the problem in this offense I will quit listening because they are just mad and ranting nonsense. He has some growing to do, but he's got talent and heart by the truckload, and he would be starting at most power 5 schools right now if they had him. Our WR were out of position on a few plays, that needs to be tightened up.
All of our remaining games are winnable, we will not go undefeated, but this team has some fight left in them. ML is not head coach material, he's probably not even coordinator material, but I have to give him some credit, who else could have stepped in at the moment of utter chaos that he walked into, that the kids would instantly buy in to and follow?

Bjork has already let Luke know he won't be considered for the HC position. That is what got Ro Miller so pissed off last weekend at Auburn because of how it was handled. Tough spot for all involved but for now I trust Bjork will make a great hire.
Now that isn't to say that the GOB's don't try to run his ass so they can retain Luke and place Walker Jones in as our AD. Actually the name I keep hearing and who would be just as bad is John Hartwell. He was an Associate AD under Boone and is now the AD at Utah State. I remember him when he was here before. Total GOB puppet and useless. Hope we are wise enough to keep Bjork and keep the GOB's at bay.
I have only seen the highlights but it appears that Jordan Wilkins may be finding his former self again after the unfortunate year away. We have to almost treat him like a first year juco kid who needs 4-5 games to adjust to game speed. That is a good thing and Swinney had a long run for a td.
If we have any hope of outscoring our opponents it's going to take having all of our RB's capable of taking it to the house each time they touch it. Our passing game could open up some running room for them and if we can get this shitty offensive line to get in the way of the d line they have a chance to run some.
Shea is super talented. He's played 9 games in his collegiate career and is putting up stupid numbers all things considered. I can only imagine if he had a o line in front of him that actually could protect him. That TD he made yesterday was huge where he bowled over the defender from a yard out for the score. That's Chad Kelly and Bo Wallace toughness right there and those kinds of plays can ignite a team. Maybe as more good things happen these kids start believing that we can compete. Time will tell.

I didn't know that Luke was told that he wouldn't be considered. From everything that I read he was mad that the job was posted right after the game loss. That's great news. Hope we get a good one.

Luke's wife came down on the field before the game to tell him about the job posting. Luke confronted Bjork in the hallway outside of the locker room and during their heated conversation Bjork told him he wasn't being considered anyway so it didn't matter when the job was posted.
