Lane pulled in a very solid class. Unlike we've seen in the last several years, this staff addressed needs with some actual "SEC talent".

Kiffin was able to get positions of need filled. There were no LBs, but maybe some will be available in the portal or as late signees. Does anyone know how many players can be signed this year?

The 4 star WR (McClain) will be signing on Friday - crystal ball says Ole Miss.

Interesting to see what Ty Cooper does, I know everyone has him 100% for state, but if he doesn't sign during this early period by Friday, if you are a state fan, would you want this OM staff to have another 2 months to work on him and for him to look at the difference and excitement between the 2 programs, state has 4 4 star signees and 1 Harmon wanted to be a Rebel . The QB Sawyer Robinson is from west Texas, West Texas has very few minority players and is not known for its stud recruits. It's the kind of qb that Leach was successful with at Texas Tech when the entire Big 12 plays spread offense and no defense, a weak arm and non athletic qb will work, but in the SEC he will get exposed quickly. The Knox kid the other 4 star is a spread WR, Miss St was his best offer, he is no 4 star 5'9" 165 spread slot guy. The 4th 4 star Lewis is a legit 4 star that over the holidays will question his decision to have signed with state.

Ole miss has 8 legit 4 star guys, then 2 JUCO DT's that are 4 star guys, then Malone will be a 4 star, Sabbatini is a 4 star IMO and was on the rankings most of the time, Robbins is a 4 star IMO , offers from A&M, OM, Auburn, Georgia and Michigan along with others lets me know all I need to know. Add a top 10 kicker is also huge

What do you think happened with Harmon? I thought his father played at Ole Miss and he would sign with the Rebels?

Kiffin and staff did not have him evaluated as high as some others and never really recruited him that hard.. Great kid from a great family, but OM had 20 WR's ranked higher. If OM would have tried, he would have committed and signed with OM
He list a offer from OM and UGA, but neither were committable. Luke tried to help him at UGA because of his father, but UGA wouldnt take.
