As someone who is a coach, I know 100% how hard it is to get a HC'ing job. But for the life of me I cant understand a guy like Lea taking that trash job.   He is 39 and on a top 5 team as DC, not just any team, but Notre Dame.  I can bet if he would have waited this year, he would have had a shot at many better jobs.  I also know the mindset, the coaching mindset that you can turn around anywhere, but at Vandy he will not have the support, facilities, etc to win.    Sometimes you only get one chance and this might be it for him. At least these days a 5 year deal there should set him up for life.    But no way in hell I take that job if I am in his position
