This defense...
It’s horrible - it’s got to be one of the all time worst that Ole Miss has ever had..fixing it has got to be Kiffin and Staff’s top priority.

It is good to have the high scoring offense to offset the points given up by the defense. The defense is suspect and many fans are having second thoughts about the DC's at Ole Miss.

The angles our end and lbs take are pathetic. I’m not talking about taking a bad angle on some misdirection or misjudging someone’s speed. Just plain old bad angles.

Many fans are wondering about having two DC's and not allowing one to be in control. They are also concerned about recruiting and especially the fact the Durkin has been linked to a toxic culture at Maryland along with the death of a player. Now that is reason enough to not want to play for someone.
McIntyre was a good coach. He took a nothing defense and made it respectable. Even though he was making $1M per year, if he were fired, then Ole Miss would be paying him anyway. Maybe it would have been good to keep him and not hire Durkin.

What amazes me is that the fact lots of run of the mill schools have some D-linemen that are substantial and can at least give some resistance. A decent Junior College freshman could block ours.
Another thing. Why are we using our best receiver at running back? Although he makes an excellent one, leave him at a receiver position and put Plumlee in as a running back.

Plumlee definitely needs to be on the field in some capacity. He has too much speed and is too good of an athlete to have to ride the pine.

We have not prioritized recruiting defense for years. I am not ready to give up on our DC's until they have a chance to recruit their own guys in.
Show me someone who doesn't care if they win or lose and I will show you a loser.

That is true - they did stop Carolina from scoring on their last 3 possessions
