I like this quote — and attitude — from Kiffin:
"Fans are doing a standing ovation when we were walking off and I was very confused about that," Kiffin said postgame. "We lost. Not that I don't appreciate the fans or any of that. But the players need to know we didn't come here to play close or cover spreads or any of that."

If Kiffin had lived through what we’ve been through, he would know exactly why people were cheering. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a well coached competitive team. Now there is hope, there was no hope with Luke.

Watching the team play last night compared to last year was much different. With the 2020 team, they proved they can move the ball and be competitive. Each time Ole Miss had the ball, I felt we could score. Of course Bama already has an excuse saying that Kiffin knew the Alabama defensive signals!!!
If this was a Puke coached team, Ole Miss would have been beaten 63-3. Now I feel we can win more on our schedule beside Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Moo U. Ole Miss needs to reassess their defense and pull things together.

I can't tell you how glad I am to have moved on from Luke.

True, but the mindset expressed in the quote is why he is able to coach a competitive team. I genuinely think Luke was happy cashing his paycheck and HOPING for success rather than actually putting in the work required.

I agree, I was just referring to the mindset of the fans. Been a long long time since we've had a team on the field that was well coached.

Our fanbase has a lot of adapting to do. As we have so often read posted: "This isn't your Father's Ole Miss." Hell this isn't even our Ole Miss and I'm loving it. Pro Mindset.
