Re: Chad got signed to practice squad

Glad they still picked him up. However, I'm hoping some other team makes a play for him. He's not getting any younger.

His ship has sailed at this point. He starts from scratch every year.

I just don’t understand the quarterback development process. It obviously has a high failure rate when truly you only have a small handful of consistent quarterbacks and then everyone else. It’s hard to find a quarterback that will be productive for more than a few years to begin with.  Finding quarterback that can evolve and improve is tough, I think Chad was probably one of the most consistent play makers we’ve had a quarterback that I’ve ever seen. He needed to be a tad taller but he had everything you would ask of a quarterback when he stepped on the field. It was his complete lack of judgment off the field that has held him back and unfortunately scarredHis reputation in the NFL it seems. The knee injury did not help him and I think is what ultimately caused him in the beginning but his ignorance in Denver is wet put the nail in the coffin. He could’ve very well started a quarterback there

Chad was the best QB that I've seen play at Ole Miss. As for Ole Miss, I would say that he was even better than Eli. Chad was much more dynamic. He made big plays when it counted.

Re: Chad got signed to practice squad

I agree, Chad had more support to work with than Eli did, but I don't think Eli is as dynamic as Chad was.  If Chad had more time and less injuries, it would be very interesting to see. However, the talent level was falling off when Chad got hurt.  It was unfortunate all the way around

Chad better make some wise investments with his NFL money.
