Re: Really not liking the ncaa allowing players $$$ in this new format.

College football players are already getting paid.  They are getting a free education that could be worth $100k or more.  Many people are fortunate to make $25k per year in a regular job, much less get the opportunity to get a free education and make connections that could lead to a very good work career.

When college football players start getting paid, they will become semi-pro.  Now what happens when a 5 star makes the same as a 3 star?  What happens when someone on the first team, who is All American, All Conference, and a great produce gets paid the same as someone who sits on the bench.  These events can lead to bad feelings, bad attitudes, and disruptions on the team.  It also has the potential to lead to strikes or players simply quitting on the team.

Also, if players demand more money, then where will these funds originate?  You can almost ensure that ticket prices will increase, team SWAGS prices will increase, and schools will be asking for donors to dig deeper into their pockets.

Payment to college football players will result in a whole different landscape in college football.  The days of college football as we knew it will be gone.
