This incident could be a good tool to use against him in recruiting.

I'd hope we could point to our positives.

Pointing to your positives is always a great things, but when your rival steps in the ****, you use it. Now, if nobody would use that kind of stuff, I would be for it. But you can bet Leach is the kind of POS that will still bring up the former racial issues when he recruits against OM.

I seriously can't stop laughing at this stupidness. I mean, if you just leave it alone, it goes away, especially with what is going on in the world right now.
But some smart liberal thought this was a great idea.lololol
Mississippi State: AD John Cohen issued a statement today (after Mike Leach tweeted last week and later apologized for tweeting a picture of a lady knitting a noose for her husband after they were quarantined together for so long) saying, “a plan is in place for Coach Leach to participate in additional listening sessions with student, alumni, and community groups and to provide the coach with opportunities to expand his cultural awareness of Mississippi. One of those opportunities will include a guided visit to the “Two Museums” – the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum – in Jackson as soon as restrictions from the current public health crisis will allow.

I can't imagine what must be going through Leach's mind on this. Vic Schaefer may not be the only one leaving Starkvegas.

Sometimes, the people yelling racism are the biggest racist. Sorry, but this adult child who is transferring out is a bitch. A 90 year old woman knitting a noose for her husband after days of quarantine has nothing to do with racism. The fact this adult child sees something racist with it proves he only looks at things through the prism of racism.

Don't let those crybabies watch episodes of Gunsmoke. Matt Dillion is constantly taking folks to Hayes City to be hung. Atleast a quarter of the westerns either show lynchings or it is mentioned. For goodness sake, don't let them watch Lonesome Dove. They'll have nightmares.

Hopefully they'' buy him out and become Snowflake State.

This isn't about what any of us think about Leach's tweet. The problem for him and MSU is that several Black football players took offense to it. One of them is transferring, and the Clarion Ledger had an interview with the player's father (who criticized Leach). Several national media outlets picked up the story. Dan Wolken (who is no friend of Ole Miss) criticized Leach and said the SEC is different from any conference he's coached in before. Shannon Sharpe and others have publicly called for Leach to be fired.
MSU has a history of not addressing stuff like this and just letting it "blow over." This time the heat was such that AD John Cohen was forced to make a public statement. An excerpt: No matter the context, for many Americans the image of a noose is never appropriate, and that’s particularly true in the South and in Mississippi. Mississippi State University was disappointed in the use of such an image in a tweet by Coach Mike Leach.
Somebody put enough pressure on Cohen that he had to publicly slap down Leach. No matter how you look at it, this was not a good start for Leach at MSU.

So now I'm guessing we can add Western Shows & Movies to the list of racist symbols!!!
- Confederate Flag
- Nooses
- Banana Peels (especially in trees)
- Western Shows & Movies
What else?
One thing to consider is Veterans who fought in WWII, especially those who were POW's. They could be offended by the Japanese flag or the Nazi symbol because of the horrific ways they were treated during captivity in addition to the mess this group of people caused for the world. Now, does this give their descendants the right to be offended by both these symbols and the people of Japan and Germany?
