I'm hoping there's some sort of SEC baseball tournament at the end of this mess still.

Most likely there will be no SEC Baseball Tournament in 2020. The 15 day isolation period will be a trial run to see how many people isolate themselves and how the number of cases increase. If it works, there will probably be another 15 day period.
Some immunologist are indicating that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) can survive on a host for up to five weeks and the host may not ever show symptoms. Although the media has blown things out of proportion, the virus is a real threat and has the potential to be deadly. Survivors may have long term pulmonary fibrosis which could lead to a weakened respiratory system.
There are several healthy people who are in ICU on ventilators now, so we are taking things seriously. We have cancelled an event in Florida scheduled for March and may be cancelling another one in North Carolina for May. Hopefully things will get better in the Summer, but this could be a longer ride than anticipated.
It is tough being without college sports, especially with the Rebels doing so well in baseball. Even Spring football has been effected, so Rebel fans may not really get to see a preview of the Lane Train. Well, at least we are (and generally are) stockpiled with goods. Everyone be careful and stay safe!!!

I think it was announced today all Spring sports and their respective postseasons are officially cancelled.

When they announced the cancellation of the CWS last week I thought that was crazy since it was so far off. Why not just stop things for a month and then reassess? But I’m coming to realize that they probably had info that others don’t about how bad this thing can/will be.
