I know we aren't Memphis fans but with all the cheating by major programs, I find it is bullshit that Memphis gets hammered for much much much less. I really hate the NCAA. Every Ole Miss fans should be against this.

So much for the “tell the NCAA to piss off” strategy - which is what Memphis used.

The ncaa will change their policies and Memphis will get a stern finger wagging but this activity will now be SOP going forward. F the ncaa

Maybe they need to confer with LSU on a strategy. When a school can have an alumni embezzle funds from a children's hospital fund and pay player's parents, or an alumni who is a pro football player can flagrantly give cash to players while on national TV, and have no reprecussions, then that school knows how to handle the NCAA.
LSU booster gets 33 months in prison for embezzlement

NCAA infraction folks like to flex their power so they can justify their jobs. Lots of overreach. It is especially easy to inflict NCAA "justice" on the smaller schools in the South.
Remember Rose and Calipari? Although there were some violations, Rose goes to the NBA $$$, Calipari goes to UK $$$, Memphis gets stuck with probation. Something not right there.

Memphis is gonna get hammered, badly. And they deserve to get clobbered (along with a bunch of other programs). Hardaway played Wiseman when he was told he was ineligible by the NCAA, and going from #30 recruiting class to #1 - that's way too much of telling the NCAA where to stick it. They will be made an example of. LSU and Duke should be next.

Other bigger programs have done worse and have yet to even be investigated. I have a problem with this.

I'm assuming this new "independent" representation, review and determination process is all going to be bullshit but I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
