Ole Miss students lining up in droves over 24 hours in advance of Rebels' baseball season opener

The start of the college baseball season in Oxford may be over 24 hours away but that hasn’t stopped Ole Miss students from forming a line outside of Oxford-University Stadium at Swayze Field in anticipation of the Rebels’ first game of the season.

Mike Bianco’s team is set to face No. 1 Louisville on Friday in the season opener in Oxford in a game set to be broadcast by the SEC Network. While the game doesn’t start until 4 p.m. locally, and the gates won’t open until 2 p.m., the student section is already growing in size at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is set to host Louisville for a three-game series which will run until Sunday. Saturday’s game starts at 1:30 p.m. while Sunday’s game starts at Noon.

The Rebels finished last season with a 41-27 overall record and enter the baseball season ranked as the No. 25 team in the nation according to D1Baseball.com.

Check out the photo shared by Bianco on Twitter on Thursday, with the following caption:

“This is the line for the student-section set up that starts at 2 pm today. By the way, we open up Fri at 4 pm. #ItJustMeansMore”
