Bush Sr., the father of former Michigan standout and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush, was an analyst for Michigan for four seasons. Prior to Bush’s time in Ann Arbor he was the head coach at Charles W. Flanagan High School in Florida.
Former Michigan’s safeties coach/special teams coordinator Chris Partridge took an assistant coaching position at Ole Miss in early January, joining Lane Kiffin’s new look staff.
Bush Sr. receiving a more prominent role at a university comes as no surprise, many expected Bush to get a chance at a positional coaching role in the near future, but he’ll be tasked with running the recruiting operations for Ole Miss instead. A tall task that could reap rewards despite the program facing an uphill battle getting back to relevancy in the SEC.
