MOBILE, Ala. – Ole Miss' Josiah Coatney has accepted an invite to participate in the 2020 Reese's Senior Bowl, set for Jan. 25, in Mobile, Alabama.
Coatney will join his Ole Miss teammate Benito Jones in the annual all-star game.
They will begin practices on Jan. 21 and play the 71st annual Reese's Senior Bowl game on Jan. 25, Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game will be televised on NFL Network.
Coatney, who recently wrapped up his senior campaign for the Rebels, started all 12 games in 2019. He led all Ole Miss defensive linemen with 46 total tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
The Douglasville, Georgia, served as an anchor in the middle for an Ole Miss defensive unit that helped limit three straight opponents to under 70 yards rushing for the first time in 20 seasons. Coatney started in 35 of the 36 career games he played in during his three-year career as a Rebel.
The Senior Bowl is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier senior showcase event. Now in its 71st season, the event annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South who are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two National Football League teams.
