They haven't played as a team the entire year, although some individual performances helped us win as many games as we have. When you start signing all these "super stars", a team is subject to have this type problem. I've heard tyree is a cancer -- and look at his performances - up one game, down the next one. Some nights it looks like he doesn't even want to shoot --- that is sulking and childish and that is exactly how his demeanor often looks.
As this season heads south, keep in mind one play from the Arkansas game -- seven minutes left - give or take a minute -- we were leading by nine or 11 forget which one. Arkansas turns the ball over around mid court and instead of taking control and recognizing the clock is our biggest enemy, numnuts Tyree goes out of control to the basket and as he lays the ball off the backboard, one of Arkansas' bigs slaps it off the back board and Arkansas picks up the loose ball and proceeds to score about 9 straight and before you can sneeze, Pigs had a four point lead. Appears this play will come to symbolize our season - and I''m hard pressed to see any scenario where we could be a .500 team this year.
PS -- I think the Tyree back story is BS

Maybe if the neb's team played the girls, one would win.

I pretty much thought this team would take a step back after TD left, but they have completely bottomed out. I watched some of the game yesterday, and there really is a big problem going on. I think there's some really bad attitudes that have severely affected the team. The guys simply aren't playing "together" at all. Kermit is a very good coach, and he's got his work cut out for him this year and probably some big decisions to make on players remaining on the team.

Probably see some exit in March if not before. This isn't just a "young team" type issue. Something stinks in Denmark.

Kermit needs to get rid of the players with bad attitudes. My thoughts are that most scholarships are a year to year thing based on an annual renewal. If this is true, then some of the players do not need to get renewed no matter how good they are or how good they are supposed to be. Maybe some of the bad apples need to sit on the bench or stay at home for traveling games. It would be better to get beat while playing with players who want to play instead of having bad attitudes on the court.

After last year's success it's difficult to imagine what the issue might be, but brother there is one!

I think Kermit is really starting to impose his discipline this season. He left Sy back in Oxford for Florida because he didn't like Sy's attitude and "body language" in the previous game. Kermit is quick to chew out players and to bench them when they make a turnover, etc. Apparently some players aren't used to that. Kermit is going to run a disciplined program. The players who can adapt to that will thrive in it. Those who can't adapt will have problems.

Many of the players these days were raise in an environment without discipline. Add that with the discipline that is lacking the in schools and you get a bunch of players who think they can do what they want to do. Most of them have no respect for anyone and live in an all about me world.
