Ole Miss is in the mix for a four-star running back out of Miami, Fla.
Henry Parrish named the Rebels as one of his four finalists Friday via a social media post. His four finalists are Ole Miss, Oregon, Pittsburgh and South Carolina.
The 5-10, 183-pounder is rated as the nation's No. 24 running back in the 2020 class by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite index. Parrish is the No. 51 player regardless of position in the state of Florida's 2020 class.
Parrish said he plans to announce his commitment next week.
As things stand right now, he has an official visit scheduled to Ole Miss for the weekend of Jan. 31. He has already taken official visits to South Carolina and Pittsburgh. It is unknown if he plans to take an official visit to Oregon.
Of note, Parrish took an official visit to Florida Atlantic during last season when Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and running backs coach Kevin Smith were trying to lure him to Boca Raton. Obviously, Kiffin and Smith are tag-teaming in efforts to get Parrish to join them in Oxford. he also has a previous relationship with Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, who recruited him at his previous post at Central Florida and holds an offer from Michigan where Ole Miss assistant Chris Partridge arrived to Oxford from.
Parrish was once committed to Pittsburgh, but he opened his recruitment up on Dec. 11. His decommitment ended a six-months-long pledge to the Panthers.
Ironically, his two 247Sports Crystal Ball leaders are Florida and Miami, neither of which he listed among his four finalists.
Parrish rushed for 2,319 yards and 28 touchdowns last fall. He also caught 18 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns. In his career at Miami's Columbus High School, Parrish rushed for 4,653 yards and 33 touchdowns, while catching 36 balls for 475 yards and four TDs.
Parrish has recorded verified times in the 40-yard dash (4.66 seconds) and the shuttle (4.43 seconds). He recorded a verified measurement in the vertical of 31.60 inches.
In addition to his four finalists and Florida Atlantic, Parrish also holds reported offers from Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Marshall, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Toledo, Central Florida, USC, South Florida, Utah, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Western Kentucky. Florida International and others.
Ole Miss received 12 national letters of intent during the December early signing period. The Rebels' 2020 class currently ranks 11th in the SEC and 45th in the nation per the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.
The Rebels signed one running back in December, that being 247Sports four-star prospect Kentrel Bullock out of Columbia (Miss.) High School.
The current dead period for college football recruiting ends on Jan. 17. Ole Miss is expected to host official visitors for the final three weekends in January leading up to the Feb. 5, national signing day.
