Re: Sarkville

It should be a decent hire for the cows, if true.  Now they can feel like they are privileged.  It would have been great to see Judge hired at Moo U.  The cows better hide the liquor!!!

Re: Sarkville

That's as good of a hire as they can get. I guess it is good that they don't sell alcohol at MSU games.

Re: Sarkville

It would really amaze me is msu hired him.  His actions at usc are not just alcoholism.  the number of events of him missing practice, drunk at school events, drunk on team functions, drunk before games, drunk on the plane home from games are one thing. As a sst coach I could understand hiring him, you have put people around him to try and help him.  But as the HC, no way, he has too much power to fire and ruin people that might call him on  his failures in that vein. It would led itself to enablers.     He also had ncaa violations, was mistreating of women in his employ.     I just cant see and school that is a proper background check was done, would hire him as HC.

But hey, hire him.

Lane knows him and will torch him.

Sark is basically .500 coach.   He took over a squad Lane left him loaded and unlike Lane, all the NCAA sanctions Lane had to deal with were over.   He at Washington he was a .500 coach.

He is a west coach guy, when he was at Alabama in 2016, he did no recruiting, then returned last spring and his recruiting is the same..

Good luck Starkvegas if that is the best you can do.

Re: Sarkville

If they hire sark, it will go one of two ways.  Really well or horribly bad.  Pretty much tells you that state is at the bottom of the barrel and sark is desperate enough to get back to coaching to the point he will take a job at state.

With all that said, I think this would be a good hire which pisses me off state needs to take a step back, not fire some mediocre coach and replace with a good one. Of course, the moral compass crap they have spewed at us gets thrown out the window if they do hire him

What in his career has a HC makes to say his is a good HC/  Just curious.

His record at Washington 34-29 in 5 years never finished higher than T-3rd in a bad Pac 12

After he left, Chris Peterson went 55-26 in 6 years and Won the Pac 12 North 3 times

Nobody know what he would are wouldnt have done at USC, but Lane left him a LOOOADED team at USC and he went 9-4 and then was fired for the drinking stuff after a 3-2 start
