If Moo U hired Freeze, there might be some fans who were upset, but the majority simply would not care. The majority are happy with Lane and looking forward to a new chapter. Freeze lost a lot of traction in his past couple of years with both the fans and the teams. His legacy is one of a great build up, a Sugar Bowl win, a major decline, NCAA infractions, deceit, and lies. There are lots of big donors who do not want Freeze back at Ole Miss.

Freeze is going to do really well where ever he goes but I think he is smart enough to wait for the right job. He probably realizes the advantages of being at a big time program vs someone like State, Ole Miss, Vandy, etc. Just look at Dan Mullens when he was at state vs being at Florida. No chance at championships in Starkville but opportunity for them at Florida.

I imagine he's had a good reality check on his mistakes. Kids like him and he's got n offensive mind that can get more out of less than anyone I ever saw. He may follow the Orgeron plan and surround himself with good people but he Will be back.

there is no way freeze goes to the program that spent 6 years trying to destroy him. Ole Miss did not do Freeze dirty, freeze hurt ole miss and state helped bring it all to light to ensure freeze got fired. So if freeze wants back in the sec, it will not be to the program that destroyed his career and he has no motivation to "get back" at ole miss by going to state. Freeze will be at liberty for 1-2 more years and then will make a move up somewhere.

I still can't believe that some OM fans think that Freeze caused all of these problems. The only thing that he is guilty of is the crap with the escort service. Otherwise, the NCAA garbage was all a bunch of nothing that was over-punished by the NCAA and the media went with it to further the narrative. If you think that Freeze did anything so terrible, then don't take the covers off of 95% of other bigger programs out there. What they are doing is much worse.
