Alabama's rout of Vanderbilt makes Ole Miss coach laugh

You have to wonder is he laughed about Alabama's rout of Ole Miss?  Maybe he is just happy to be getting a $1M paycheck.

Glad he thinks it's funny. I'll be laughing when I see him looking for a job. Good riddance you bum.

The sad thing is that he may not have to look far for a job.  He liked Oxford so much that he does not want to leave.  With his connections, he will either be forced on the next staff or given a cushy admin position at Ole Miss.  Of course he can always reach out to Cutcliffe if he wants to go somewhere else as a coach.

Luke won't be forced on anyone at this point. Freeze kept Luke because he was "comfortable" with him. Whoever the next HC is, they'll be allowed to chose their own staff.

One report says that Luke commented post game that we just weren't prepared for the game... Would someone please tell me how you have two weeks to get as ready as possible and your'e still saying effectively "we didn't have a clue what we were doing"...?

Not surprising.  The HC, OC, and DC have no experience at the FCS level in their respective positions.....now what could possibly go wrong in that scenario?  Only at Ole Miss would you see this kind of incompetence rewarded with the top jobs on the team....blind leading the blind.

Now who was responsible for getting the team prepared?  Perhaps it is the same person who was responsible for getting the OL prepared for the past six seasons and has produced limited results during this time period.

Yup.....his dream job might turn into his biggest nightmare because, unlike when he was OL coach and could basically hide from accountability behind a HC, he's now exposed for all to see.

Just what was it he thought was so funny about the 59 - 0 route of Vanderbilt??

I think he has been exposed for 5-6 years.  Like Bill Merry said in 'Meatballs', "It just doesn't matter!"
