we keep MacIntyre. He has a clean record of "some" accomplishment but he helped us so much in just 1 year defensively. We need major replacement in front but we have developing talent at DB. LB is coming on great. Rather he does what he did this past year rather than rebuild the clock.

I think pretty much any coach would recognize the job he has done. Plus, that helps financially and frees up funds for other guys the next HC wants to bring in.
Losing Benito at NG is gonna hurt. But getting Momo back next year will be a huge boost to our LB corp. Our young secondary will be improved (I thought Prince did a great job as a true freshman). We lose some talent, but the young kids behind the older guys played hard and showed promise. I really would like to see what another year under MM would look like next season.
But ultimately, I want the next HC to have 100% of the control over any of his coaching staff. I'm excited again about what could be.

You 2 do realize that we gave up an insane amount of yardage this year, right?
We gave up over 700 yards to LSU alone! We are 12th in the conference in allowed yards.
No, I would rather have a real DC. Was it better than Crime Dog's defense? YES
Was it good defense? NO

LSU put up tons of Yards and points on everyone they played this year including Bama so I’ll give our D a pass on that game. Our D played well enough to win us 8 games this year if our O had scored some more points. Was it a great D? No. Did we make significant improvements based on coaching? Yes.
I would be happy keeping Mac. But I won’t be disappointed if our new coach brings in his own guy just bc it will be his decision to make.

Also, the HC should be allowed to hire whoever he wants to hire. Hopefully Luke will not be forced onto any upcoming staffs, or selected for the new staff.

I dk that stats 18 vs 19 but I know we played against Tua, Nix, Burrows, Monde (some good ab's)

It seems like Keith Carter is on board with letting the new coach select his assistants. I loved it when he absolutely shut down Harry Harrison when he tried to press finding a coach with Ole Miss or Mississippi ties.

I’m for letting the head coach run the football program period with over site of the AD. If he wants to clean house, I hope he does. And Matt Luke has had his chance. He was paid multi-millions to lose. If he wants to still work in some football capacity it needs to be somewhere else. Not at OM as some have suggested.
