HERE'S POST BY VAMP ON ANOTHER BOARD. He's more in the know than most including myself., let me give you a quick summary of where we are in hiring a new HC.

Our 3 top guys are Mike Norvell [Memphis], Lane Kiffen [FIU] and Napier [Uof L]. There are 3 destination schools in competition for Norvell probably [FSU, OM, and Ark]. Of those 3 FSU is considered the best destination cause of the Fla recruiting base, then us followed closely by Ark. If FSU offers Norvell he probably goes there. If not OM. Lane Kiffen is deciding between us and Ark and word is we are the favorite. Nobody knows this cause OM and Ark have almost identical traditions with us edging them out in campus and town. Someone just did a poll of 50,000 voters on which is the best destination for a coach between OM, Ark and Mizzu [also looking for a coach] and the results were roughly OM 55%; Ark 32% and Mizzu the rest. 

All these coaches play in championship games Sat and probably won't decide till Sunday. Odds are Norvell to FSU; Kiffen to OM and Napier to OM if Kiffen picks the Hogs. we love all 3. I want Kiffen cause of his new found faith, recruiting and coaching ability. This is just my guess. If Norvell is not available, then Kiffin or Napier would be good choices.  Beyond that I think the candidates are second tier.  FWIW, here is something from Twitter and hopefully it is not true.  Will Healy is a good coach and as done well with Tulane, but Norvel, Kiffin, or Napier would be much better hires.
