He was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the second straight week and third time this season. Plumlee became just the fifth SEC quarterback over the last 20 seasons with four rushing TDs in a game The others were Nick Fitzgerald, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow and Jesse Palmer. The last time an Ole Miss player rushed for four or more touchdowns was Dexter McCluster vs. Tennessee in 2009. Plumlee is the first QB to rush for at least 200 yards against the AP No. 1 team since Vince Young did it in the 2006 Rose Bowl vs. USC. He is also the first quarterback to rush for 200+ yards on LSU since Cam Newton in 2010.

He's 73 years behind the conference rushing leader.
He leads the conference at 7.27 yards per rush (Ealy is #2 at 7.19 and Snoop #4 at 6.87).
He 1 TD from the conference leader in rushing TDs.
Not gonna get into his passing.... LOL

I love Plumlee. He's electric and brings a dimension to our team we haven't had, however, does anyone truly believe recruits will want to come play where only one superstar is the highlight reel week in and week out?

Nope. Plumlee needs to greatly improve his passing game and become a dual threat. I'm not sure who our QB coach is, but he needs one to work with, badly. He seems to be improving on the short throws, but I'm worried that he's having to roll out constantly because he can't see over the line (and that cuts the field in half in the passing game).

His height is probably his motivation. Can't win without being a passer.

Congratulations to Plumlee for the honor of beingt named SEC Freshman of the week. Hopefully he will remain a dual athlete and have someone to coach him as a QB. If had can become a more accurate passer, he will really be a threat. In addition to being a good athlete, Plumlee is a fine young gentleman. Good luck, Plumlee!!!
