IHL vs UM Foundation

Things are getting really interesting now....

https://mississippitoday.org/2019/10/10/ole-miss-foundation-college-board-gridlocked-over-500k-of-new-chancellor-glenn-boyces-salary/?fbclid=IwAR0qRHxBnqRe1ZDGSQEiVpyptKSV650e7sEuy6Fm-BS2UuVwXvqT2KfM2Qg

Basically, IHL wants to give Boyce a $300k bump in pay over what we paid Bitter and for the foundation to pay for that. Meanwhile, the foundation is still paying Vitter's salary, thanks to how the IHL setup his contract.

Re: IHL vs UM Foundation

Ole Miss needs to determine how they can get out of the IHL and have their own Board of Trustees.  This is simply a waste of tax payer dollars and donor funds from the UM Foundation.  Maybe I am doing something wrong, but you cannot get to the annual reports for the UM Foundation, although they have a link on their site.  There is just too much waste and corrupt politics at both Ole Miss and the State of MS.  There is not much incentive to give if your donation is spent frivolously.  By the way, you have to wonder how much money was wasted on search firm . . . AGAIN!!!

Re: IHL vs UM Foundation

The State law would have to change. The IHL was created did to combat corruption, but it has turned into a heavily corrupted organization itself. The Governor would have to work to disband it. We know Tate wouldn't dare do that to his buddies if he gets elected.

Re: IHL vs UM Foundation

You had to be brain dead to sign that Affiliation agreement as it reads (i.e. IHL and Chancellor have total control to remove the entire Foundation board).

You have to wonder what someone was thinking when they signed the Affiliation Agreement stating the IHL and Chancellor have total control to remove the entire Foundation Board.  Now both the IHL and Chancellor have the power to force the Foundation Board to make the decisions that they want.  Once again . . .
