OT: The Pirate and WSU....

#16 Washington St beat #5 USC last night 30-27.  Leach's comment... "It's kinda like Woodstock, except everybody has their clothes on".

I love the comment.  It shows if nothing else, not only is he a good coach, he has a sense of humor, also.

Haha.....can you imagine the Grey Poupon crowd's reaction if we were to actually hire this guy?  LOLOL

As would most who want to win championships......but that crowd that is content to merely compete...not ruffle any feathers...go along to get along......would pee their knickers.....I'd love to see the reaction and would thoroughly enjoy them having to suffer the embarrassment of a coach who doesn't fit in the country club crowd.  Oh,,,,,it would be priceless.

And truth be known....I loved watching that bunch squirm every time Orgeron opened his mouth to grunt or growl....LOLOLOL

The Country Club crowd at Ole Miss would end up sticking their noses up to him.  Even if he won, there would be "elitists" who just did not think he fit in with the blue bloods.

For the record, Grey Poupon is pretty awesome on a smoked bologna sandwich. Take a bologna loaf, hollow out the middle and stuff it with pepper jack cheese. Plug the ends of the bologna loaf with pieces removed from hollowing it out, smoke on low for a couple hours and then put some BBQ sauce all over it for another 30 minutes. Slice it up, serve on sourdough bread with grey poupon or other spicey mustard. Good stuff.

Re: OT: The Pirate and WSU....

I know a lot of people wanted him when we fired Nutt but I didn't.  I wanted Kirby Smart who looks like he may have been a pretty awesome hire even though he may not have even taken the job if we had offered or would have bolted for Georgia this past offseason anyway.

Back to Leach, I would kill to have him right now.  I don't think he is a championship type coach but would at least have you consistently in bowl games and 10 win seasons every 5-10 years.  But I'm resigned to accept the fact that that is the only type of program we will ever be.

Re: OT: The Pirate and WSU....

He would be a disaster hire both from a Public image standpoint as well as the offense that employs zero defense that didn’t work when he was calling plays in the sec 20 years ago. It worked by scoring lots of points in games they lost.
He gets a media free pass bc Pullman is only rivaled by Starkville in its lack of recognition for anything.
He’s a very smart guy that’s for sure but we can do much better.
Lord I hope we do anyways.
