Corral Update

QB UPDATE: After
practice, we were told that while starting quarterback Matt Corral did participate in team walk-throughs today, he wasn’t able to do much else. He’s considered day-to-day & still in pain from his rib injury. We are told Plumlee took most of the 1st-team reps.

I know Corral has been giving it his all, but he's so inconsistent with his play, it is time to give someone else a look. I think his mechanics are his main problem - that 3/4 armed throws either float on deep passes or hit the receiver's feet on so many short passes.
Plumlee throws a much better ball and is he's probably the fastest guy on the team. Let's see what he can do at this point - we need to find our next QB. Let's face it - we are not going bowling this season now anyways

Correl is a good qb. He was put in a horrible situation with a brand new OL and as the OL became more solid, he was performing better imo. JRP did well but there was no prep for him by cal. Bama does not have really any tape on JRP but you can bet they don’t need it. Bama ‘s dL is going to run after him all day long. This is going to be extremely interesting. I have no expectations other than more of the same over the last 3 years. But scoring over 7 will as good or better than we have done over the last few years.

Yeah I asked Plumlee on Instagram who was faster, he or Ealey. He said, It’s close but I think I am.

If Corral is not well enough to play, sit him to get well for some future games we might have a chance to win. The Bama game is a lost cause from he getgo, so play Plumlee and Tisdale.
