over the last few weeks, I have seen a number of our WRs catch the ball past 1st down markers, only to try and circle around to break free for bigger gains. in every case, (or at least the 3 i can remember), the WR gets tackled now short of the 1st down markers. It seems our WR are getting way to cocky in their abilities and it is costing yards and a new set of downs. Now this is different than the practice of coming back to the ball. The ball gets caught and then the WR tries to do a back circle in order to open up the field a bit. If you are past the sticks, stinking take the yards and reset the downs....
Now fast forward to the TD pass at the end of the game. Moore catches the ball but instead of falling back into the EZ, he is moving forward which is what screwed up on the call. Long story short, what ever the hell is being taught or what ever bad habit the WRs have learned, Peeler needs to fix. Do they even think it to be an issue?

No, everything is fine. Just ask Fluke, his cohorts, and the GOBs that put him in power.

I
I've noticed the same things. Seems to be a bad habit some of our WR's need to break.

The GOB's put him in because no other SOB's wanted to come. End of story. We are at the end of our rope.

Dave Doeren was ready to come - but Vitter vetoed that one.

Just think of it and whenever there was an opening for Football HC at Ole Miss, who really wanted to come to Oxford. It was not like people were knocking the doors down to get the job.

Please stop hijacking threads. As I read, the subject is about the wide receivers and not about the head coaching search botched by Bjork.

That is simply not true. Another coach was going to be introduced on Monday and his name was not Matt Luke
