If at&t and DirecTV go black...

Anyone know the best way to watch the game?
I've thought about the 7 day free trial on YouTube tv or Hulu live TV... But the schedule shows SEC Network +.  Not sure if any of those services will carry the alt channel.

Any ideas?

I have YouTube TV. I can use the credentials for that on the ESPN app. You can sign up for a free trial on that, or do a free trial on PlayStation Vue (no, it doesn't require a PlayStation).

The ESPN app can used to stream the game. It’s already on their schedule. I use the app (which used to be called WatchESPN) to stream our baseball games not on broadcast TV. I cast them to my TV using Google Chromecast. Also, the app has replays of all games shown on the ESPN and SEC Network channels.

There's also a native ESPN app on Roku annd FireTV devices for a slightly easier way to watch.

Guys, if you haven't cut the cord yet, you're throwing a ton of money away every month. I save right at $100/month when I dropped DirecTV and went to YouTube TV. I tried all of the other streaming providers, and YouTube TV has been much more stable with their streams. On issue is they do not have a Fire TV device yet due to issues that Google and Amazon had with each other. But the Google engineers have said the app will be released very soon (sounds like next month).

But, give them all a try and see what you like best. Philo TV is also one to check out - it's cheap and has all of the Viacom channels. It doesn't have sports, but it's really great to use it along with a streaming provider that may not have those channels.

We just now got some fiber optic wifi and I am in process of cutting cord once that is fully installed. Do you have like a DVR type function with you tube as my wife and I rarely watch things live. Also, are most live sports available?

Show me someone who doesn't care if they win or lose and I will show you a loser.

I use Playstation VUE for half the year, and Philo TV for the off season. It works out to around $40 monthly. I add on Netflix and Amazon prime and I'm set for my needs much cheaper than cable or satellite...

Speaking of Amazon Prime, I have an account, but for the last month or so every time I go to Prime to watch something I get a notice on the screen that says as of Sept 26 Prime will no longer be supported on "this device".  Anyone know what that's about?

What device are you using? I watch on our Sony television and I haven't seen that prompt.

It's a 2013 Panasonic LED flat screen.  I have a newer Toshiba LED flat screen that I'll swap out to see if I still get Prime.  If not, I guess I'll go shopping, or maybe get a Firestick.  I've never used a Firestick, or any other device like that, so not sure about streaming quality with those.

Re: If at&t and DirecTV go black...

Preacher.... Mystery solved thanks to a very helpful Xfinity customer service person.  Long story sort of short, I traded in an old Xfinity remote today for the latest addition.  The old one was eating AA battery power like it was candy.  Until now I was accessing Prime content though the smart TV's remote control apps feature.  Now I can access it through Xfinity.  Comcast and Amazon Prime now have a contract to only allow Prime content to be accessed through the Xfinity box.  That pop-up message basically meant after Sept 26 I could no longer access it through the TV remote apps feature.  I just had to sign in to my Amazon account and enter an authorization code to register the TV to receive Prime content directly through the X1 platform.  Done, and done.
