I don't know why I care anymore, but I would expect more from a Rich Rod coached offense; unfortunately what I saw today looked very "bush league" and Matt Corral looked like he was playing backyard football.

As mentioned somewhere on this board yesterday, there is a reason why Rich Rod has been fired from most of his previous jobs. He will simply go through the motions to collect a paycheck at Ole Miss. This seems to be a tendency for most Ole Miss coaches.

Consider these facts about yesterday's game against Memphis State:
- The Rebels (0-1) went three-and-out on their first three possessions.
- The run-based spread option of offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez had minus-1 yard rushing at the half.
- The deepest penetration for Ole Miss in the first half was the Memphis 31 on a drive that ended with a missed 50-yard field goal attempt.
- The team had less than 100 overall yards rushing.
- The team had less than 100 overall yards passing.
he team compiled less than 100 yards rushing

I rewatched some of the game this morning. As bad as the OL is, it might be a good idea to open up the QB position and take a look at the other freshmen. There were some really missed opportunities in the passing game.

My take is that we spent to much time keeping a promise to Ealy and should have gone with others. Ealy can play some mop up till he gets it. OnCorral, I'm hoping it was a bad hair day and he let his frustration get the best of him. He must shed the macho bs and play with his head arms and legs. Howard needs another role.

At this point, I think we might win against Southeast Louisiana and New Mexico State...
