This ship is just now sailing. No telling where it might end. Wherever it ends probably won't do much more than scratch the surface unless these big name schools decide they're not going down alone. I sure AK is clean. I also hope State is as dirty as anyone.

Is this something separate than the prostitute thing they already got in trouble for?

It could go MUCH deeper IMO.....as in spreading to football once the snoopers start to investigate and the perps start trying to make deals to save themselves.....Anyone who thinks this is relegated to 1 sport is IMO kidding themselves.

Moo U is an Adidas school. They were quick to put out information that everything smells rose bowlie in starkesvile. It would be great to see them get hammered.

Now would be the time to be calling Dan McDonnell...

This would be a good move, but Bjork is too comfortable with Bianco. Bianco will probably produce another blah season, since he is rebuilding . . . AGAIN!!! It is amazing how Ole Miss gets stuck with coaches who continually go into vacation mode, produce mediocre results, but still continue to get raises and contract extensions. Evidently, someone does not want to be a full time winner.

Regarding our baseball program, we'll have the top pitching staff in the country this season. That #1 recruiting class got experience last year and over the summer. I realize it became a fad to shit over Bianco, but i think everyone is too eager to fire a coach right away. If Bianco was fired, no coach worth a damn would dare go to Ole Miss under such a ridiculous amount of pressure that it's Omaha every year or they'll be fired - no matter how much money you throw at them. They make plenty of money at schools with job security and a realistic fanbase - and let's not pretend that doesn't mean anything.
Having said all of that, MSU got a player (Perry) that was committed to UPig until he was "influenced" to go to MSU instead. State, and their crooked coach, is gonna get busted over this as well.

This should be a break out year for Bianco. If it is not, then he does not need a contract extension and a search committee for a new coach needs to be formed. There is no doubt that Bianco has raised the bar on baseball at Ole Miss, but he needs to produce this year, especially with a #1 recruiting class that has a year of experience.
As for Moo U, they continue to stay under the radar. After hiring known cheaters, Jokie and Wholand, they continue to recruit in their own fashion. Perhaps these cheaters have brought techniques to the program for recruiting. They also seem to have someone protecting them (i.e. - Scam Newton). If they get caught in the Adidas scandal or with the recruitment of this baseball player, it will be a miracle.

We return the overwhelming majority of the team that stunk the place up last spring/summer. Are we likely to see dramatic improvement with same kids? Hasn't happened with football facing same scenario.
That points to coaching or lack thereof.
Ole Miss doesn't expect Omaha every year but once every 14 at Mike's salary isn't good enough. He makes top 10 money or close, has the best facilities and support in college baseball. Yes we face a unique challenge with scholarships that other schools are able to dance around. The lack of talent has never been the issue with Bianco. He has always recruited very well. It is what he has not been able to do with them once they got to campus that stands out.
I don't think you want to compare what Dan has done in his time at Louisville with Bianco. Guys have said Louisville has an easier path in the ACC. Lol. That's beyond silly. Annually the CWS has as many ACC teams as it does SEC teams. The only difference is Louisville has been there more times than not and Ole Miss hasn't.
Ideally Bianco would retire and Dan could step in. That would likely be the only way Dan would come. If Bianco is fired he won't. Most everyone knows that so our admin better have a solid contender waiting if they pull the trigger on Bianco. The Louisville AD getting canned presents a unique opportunity for us to reach out to Dan. It's well known that AD's like to hire their own coaches.
