Let me start by saying that I am very conservative. I don't like a lot of the things that Trump does because they are liberal plans. I support some of the things that he does but I'm not like my brother, who blindly supports Trump no matter what the man does.
I simply do not see how building a wall thousands of miles long is really going to be effective in its intent. People will easily go over or under that wall and it may delay them all of a few minutes. The real answer would be to appropriately staff the border patrol.

Israel put up a wall and stopped something like 98% of illegal entry. I think that is the difference between a wall and a fence. A real wall is hard to go over bc you can’t just climb it, you would have to have a ladder or equipment. You also couldn’t just go under it bc the footing would be relatively deep/wide.
You would need to combine the wall with manpower, etc to be most effective but the wall is definitely needed imo
