COI got Leo'd

From information I have gathered, Leo Lewis was not present at the COI today, although he was told to be there.  Now you have to wonder, what happens to his immunity?

If anyone is on the Spirit, Rivals, or other board, please bring some information on the COI to this site.  Thanks!!!

Re: COI got Leo'd

I'm not surprised. It is a lose lose for him. That being said, If he is not present, any and everything that is in our allegations related to him should be thrown out.

Re: COI got Leo'd

I thought headline that he did make it. I sincerely doubt that he would not show up in less the nCAA was doing him another solid.

Re: COI got Leo'd

Where did you see that he made it?  Here is what I found from the Rivals site (https://olemiss.rivals.com/news/live-from-covington-ole-miss-coi-hearing-has-begun):

4:16 P.M. EDT Update: They just took a mid-afternoon break. It does not appear they're finished for the day. Matt Luke walked out of the room, went to the restroom and has since been making calls. Barney Farrar and his attorney, Bruse Loyd, huddled in the atrium of the Embassy Suites during the break.

There is still no word regarding Leo Lewis' whereabouts. People are strongly told not to speak to media about the goings-on of the COI hearing. I asked Ole Miss athletics director if Lewis was in the hearing. He said, with a smile, "You tell me."

5:53 P.M. EDT Update: It's over for the day. I have confirmed that much. Most of the parties have exited -- Freeze, Bjork, Nix, Harris. Still no sign of Leo Lewis. It's over for the day. Re: COI got Leo'd

From the Clarion-Ledger 9http://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/college/ole-miss/2017/09/11/ole-miss-wraps-up-day-1-its-ncaa-committee-infractions-hearing/652810001/):

=14pxWho was not seen by the media is perhaps the most intriguing name, Mississippi State linebacker Leo Lewis. A source told The Clarion-Ledger's Will Sammon that Lewis was in Covington Monday.

Re: COI got Leo'd

Leo was there and testified.  They let him in through some back door to avoid the media.

Re: COI got Leo'd

This is going to be a long 3 days. Not sure what to make of a lack of "leaks". With all the media present, not a lot of details other than the usual conjecture.

Not sure what to make of that. Will it be a cut and dried scalping and is why we aren't hearing anything ?  Is the committee truly treating this with actual impartiality and the big mouthed investigators who leaked details are staying quiet?

Not sure, and what is worse is the the whole wait game after. I have heard this week or 8 weeks. Even if ole miss is guilty as hell on every count, how the ncaa treated this process is a travesty. Only thing worse is how ole miss handled this ordeal. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst
