Charlie Weis Jr
Looks like he’s being hired as the next OC — seems like some folks are kind of PO’d about the hire — I’m OK with it - he’s worked with Kiffin before at FAU so there’s familiarity there and it’s pretty much LK’s offense anyway
Now I don’t like his dad at all - but I won’t hold that against him. Hope he’s a successful OC at Ole Miss

What is funny is all these talking people have no clue. If you go back to when Lebby was hired, the same clowns were screaming, who is he, etc etc.

What I'm told (worth what it costs you) is that the Weis kid is extremely bright and knows what he is doing. That's obviously not the party line right now but the person that told me knows a lot about the offensive side of football. Hope he is terrific and I'm for giving him a chance to prove himself.

As for people who are complaining about this hire, most of this chatter is probably from the Spirit Board. There are lost of naggers on the board who are drinking out of a half full glass. Charlie Weis, Jr. is a good hire and hopefully will prove to be an asset to the Ole Miss coaching staff.
At least Ole Miss did not hire Noel Mazzone, David Cutcliffe, or Matt Luke to be the OC!!!

I don't think Lane would hire the guy if it could cause him to lose a 7.5 million per year job.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin confirms addition of Charlie Weis, Jr. to staff
NEW ORLEANS — While has been expected that Charlie Weis, Jr would become the next offensive coordinator at Ole Miss, and reported as a done deal earlier this week, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed it on Friday.During his Sugar Bowl press conference, Kiffin was asked about the reports of Weis joining his staff and gave a pretty point blank response.“We’re excited to bring Charlie Weis aboard,” Kiffin said. “Charlie’s been with us before at Alabama and FAU. (Weis is) very familiar with how I do things.”The school has not made the hiring of Weis official. That will come more than likely no earlier than Sunday once the Sugar Bowl and the 2021 season has concluded.Weis will be replacing outgoing OC Jeff Lebby, who is leaving for Oklahoma in the same position after finishing up his duties with the Rebels in New Orleans.This will be the the third time the duo of Kiffin and Weis are working on the same staff. Both were at Alabama for two years before Kiffin hired Weis to be his OC at FAU. Weis has spent the last two seasons at South Florida.
