Playing Oklahoma

I do hope we execute well on both sides of the ball, and hopefully, we win the game!

I am hearing there isn’t unity in the locker room, and that is an understatement. I don’t know the reason for sure.

We will not be in the playoffs, and I never believed that from the beginning, but I do love the Rebels. I can do no other!

Re: Playing Oklahoma

Ole Miss needs this win badly.  What are you hearing about the unity in the locker room?

There are problems with jealousy, and some players believe that there are those playing sparingly need to be starters. The RB coach is perceived as a major problem. A lot of finger pointing on this team.

Re: Playing Oklahoma

You have to wonder how much NIL plays in these feelings.  From Smith's last tenure, fans know he plays favorites, and Parrish was one of them, so that could be why Bentley is sitting out.  It is tough to get a buy in from so many different personalities.  This team has lots of potential, but they just don't seem to have the chemistry to come together as a group.

Re: Playing Oklahoma

I am just shaking my head at some of these 3rd down calls

Also dropped passes on 3rd down

Re: Playing Oklahoma

So far Venables is taking Lane to school in all short yardage situations. Another 4th down stuffed.

Oklahoma is a good DL and this first half they have proved OM can’t run on them. So OM tries to run on 3rd and 2 and on .4th downs
Got a break on the facemask on one 4th down.  OU had 7 guys tackle JJ

Then tried to run a misdirection on 4th and 1.  Lost yds again

Might want to throw quick game or TE cross.

ANYTHING but run

Game should be at worse 24-7

Re: Playing Oklahoma

What do you think is wrong with Lane and the team this year?  They just don't seem very focused.  There was too much pre-season hype, no developed camaraderie on the team, and no team culture.

Meanwhile, in Aggy Land, TAMU is rolling. Congrats on this, and I hope TAMU will show U of Texas what is like to be in the SEC.  For Ole Miss, this is a good year not to have to play the Aggies!

Re: Playing Oklahoma

Second half playcalling was better in short yardage.

But great individual effort by JJ

Not sure the deal, Harris being hurt the last few games has been a big deal.

Wells hasn’t been near the player everyone thought he would be. Drops and not getting separation

Dart has held the ball too long.

Jundkins leaving was huge. People just brushed it off as he would be replaced by a few guys, no big deal. Nope. You don’t replace a future all pro player   He didn’t have a great game today against Neb. But it’s left a huge hole in the OM offensive. Parrish has gotten a little slower and not as quick as he was when he was at OM before. Injuries has really hurt him. Same with Bentley

And play caller hasn’t complemented the talent

If OM makes a kick vs UK they are in overtime

If they do about 50 little things vs LSU they win easily and still went to overtime at lsu

The media would have you think OM is 3-5 and had 5 blow out losses

Re: Playing Oklahoma

What do you think has happened to the play calling?  Do you think Kiffin is letting Weis, Jr. cut his teeth more and become the primary play caller?  We should be scoring lots more points, and yes, Judkin leaving left a gaping hole in the offense.  Hopefully, Diggs will be in soon and prove to be competitive.  Judkins was a diamond in the rough and maybe the Rebels can find another one.
