i am not buying that corral was crap no one wanted. in football where only like 1/3 of the teams out there have QBs that produce regularly and most teams don't have a QB ready to take over in case of injury without a drop off, there are a load of programs that would snatch him up.  Even if they only intended him to be a backup, there are 20 programs at any given time that would offer him a scholorship even if it is to sit behind another QB.

I totally agree with your statement on teams taking kids to stockpile talent which is why the Corral availability to Ole Miss raises even more questions as to how that played out.
What is your take on USC, Florida and Georgia all walking away from him?
Would you argue that there are 20 programs better than Ole Miss to sign with if the offer was available?
If so what 20 schools would it be?  Rock mentioned a&m.  That’s 1.
Not calling you out.  I’m asking.
Point is there is something to this story we aren’t being told. I just want to know the truth.

If you watch his film and read what other high school coaches that played against him say I don't think you would conclude that he can't play. The kid got in a fight with Wayne Gretskys son at a high school basketball game Gretsky told the school he would withhold his 200,000.00 $ a year donation to there athletic programs if Matt was not asked to leave the school. Thats were all this stuff comes from about him being a bad kid.

Thanks Tulsa.  I did read about that.  Do you think that is why so many colleges backed off of him?  That is some crazy drama right there.  Would be interesting to know the full story behind that as it seems absurd that Gretzky would make that kind of demands after a fight?
For the record I have never once said the kid couldn’t play.  My concern is if he is all that he appears to be then why did so many other schools well ahead of Ole Miss pass on him?

FL walked away because he is not a LB playing QB.  That is the only QB that works in Mullen's system.  USC never have issues finding top tier QBs out of HS and Corral had the "character questions" because of a singular incident.  The fact he had many offers from many huge programs tells you all you need to know about his potential.  But USC and UGA are already stocked with Qbs

If you know anything about Wayne Gretzky and his wife, this is in line with exactly something they would do. Entitled, spoiled kids. He and Will Smith and his wife ruled that program and made it a toxic environment..

Look at they way they let the Daughter run wild in her young years, one son Trevor had issues at Westlake, Tristian is the one there now that is a problem.

Corral is a stud, jut be happy he ended up at OM.

Florida had Emory Jones in the bag, a kid that fits Mullet's style more. Also have RS-FR 5 star Franks on the roster along with RS FR Kyle Trask who is a Mullet type kid at 6'5" 230 from Texas power Manvel, and true Freshman Jake Allen from Fl power St Thomas Aquinas

Georgia only had the #1 player and Qb in the nation committed Justin Fields and the past 2 #1 QB's in the nation on the roster in Eason and Fromm

Sometimes there just isnt room, sometimes there isnt a fit.

Plus, if you believe these guys that run their gums like rivals and 247 recruiting "experts"  they rarely know what the truth is. In talking to college coaches face to face for years, they just laugh when you bring up something that is quoted from one of these "experts".

I saw dont look a gift horse in the mouth. enjoy. I would have taken him in this class at A&M in a second.

Re: No spin on recruits Ole Miss is signing today....

About Corral, Ole Miss is fortunate to have signed him.  Hopefully he will turn out to be a good QB.  The only incident I could find was the one with Gretsky's kid and you can be assured that Gretsky did whatever he could to ruin the reputation and chances to play for Corral.  It seems like the media is running with yet another story!!!

Re: No spin on recruits Ole Miss is signing today....

That is the same kind of stuff that got Chad in trouble with the PC Crowd at the Buffalo night club and the high school football game, when he ran onto the field to protect his brother.

If Corral can be 3/4 as good as Chad, we have a winner.
