Kurt Roper will not return to South Carolina in 2018

This is really bad news and could mean that Roper might be a part of the Ole Miss staff.  If Roper is hired, then his hiring action shows an inability to hire a successful coach based on their experience and abilities.  Roper was fired from his job as OC at Florida and now he is being fired as OC at South Carolina.

As for statistics related to his coached unit, the Gamecocks finished 2016 last in the SEC in scoring (20.8 ppg) and 13th in total offense (347.5 ypg).  South Carolina currently is 12th in the SEC in scoring (24.1 ppg) and total offense (340.2).  At Florida the Gators finished eighth in the SEC in scoring (30.3 ppg) and 12th in total offense (376.6 ypg) while Roper was OC.  It would not be much of a surprise if Roper ended up at Ole Miss.

If he doesn’t go home to daddy cut at duke he will likely end up in Oxford in cut 2.0 staff.
Don’t sleep on the real cut JR that is HC at Oxford HS either.  I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before we hear how amazing he will be as a college coach.
